Voter ID is rarer than UFO sightings

Letters to the editor

EDITOR: It continues to amaze me that the GOP continues to put forth the lie that voter IDs will curtail voter fraud. Gary Rubow in an Aug. 3 letter is another person trying to get us to believe this lie. The stats simply do not prove there is widespread voter fraud — almost next to zero. In fact, UFO sightings are more prominent!

The courts in this last month have continued to overturn these obviously partisan laws to discriminate.

We need to come into the 21st century and get voter registration online, easy to do, sign people up when they go for a driver’s license, with more hours to vote, not fewer, or make our voting days a holiday so everyone can vote! We should be proud to vote and want everyone to vote. Restricting voters might help you win elections, but do you really want to be known as the party that has to restrict votes to be able to win?
