WAUSAU - There was no movement for three local programs in the sixth Associated Press state prep football poll of the season.

Cole Literski and the Edgar football team remained second in the Small Division in the latest Associated Press state prep football poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.

Amherst remained fifth in the Medium Division, while Edgar and Iola-Scandinavia stayed ranked second and ninth, respectively, in the Small Division. The state poll was released Tuesday afternoon.

The three programs have been ranked all season and Edgar has remained No. 2 behind St. Mary's Springs since the initial poll.

Two other programs — Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Pittsville — received votes in the Medium and Small divisions for the first time. Spencer/Columbus Catholic received a vote in the Medium Division for the second straight week, while Stratford received a vote in Small Division.

Pittsville hosts Wild Rose in a showdown Friday between two undefeated Central Wisconsin Conference-Small Division teams. Wild Rose is ranked seventh in the Small Division of the state poll for the second straight week.

St. Mary's Springs was a unanimous No. 1 selection in the Small Division, while Kimberly received 11 of the 12 first-place votes in the Large Division. Franklin received the other vote.

Lodi received nine first-place votes in the Medium Division to take the top spot. Waukesha Catholic Memorial, Amherst and Racine St. Catherine's also received a first-place vote.

Newman Catholic is ranked third in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association 8-man poll for a second straight week. The Cardinals are 6-0 for the first time since 1996.
