Central Wisconsin Conference softball, baseball players honored
WAUSAU – The Almond-Bancroft baseball team dominated the Central Wisconsin Conference-10 this year with a 18-0 record in league play.
Derek Baumgartner was a reason for that.
The junior catcher posted a .557 batting average this spring for the Eagles, who went 20-3 overall, and he earned the conference player of the year nod for his performance. Baumgartner’s honor is among the highlights for the all-Central Wisconsin Conference baseball and softball teams, which were recently released.
