Here is a look at the top five local teams after Week 2.

1. Edgar (2-0)

The Wildcats are built on defense so it should come as no surprise they are riding that side of the ball to a perfect start. Edgar posted a second consecutive shutout with a 35-0 win over Mondovi and has outscored opponents 50-0. The scary part is the offense appears to be finding a rhythm.

4. Spencer/Columbus Catholic (2-0)

The Rockets are showing their run to the Division 5 state championship game in 2015 was no fluke. Hunter Luepke, a sophomore on that state runner-up team, has accounted for a state-high eight rushing touchdowns, according to Wisconsin Sports Network.

Marathon's running back Dylan Seehafer attempts to avoid getting tackle by Iola-Scandinavia's Bryce Huettner during their nonconference game Friday night.
