WAUSAU - Here is a look at the top 10 performances for high school athletes in the central Wisconsin area over the past week

Riley Anderson, Marathon: The senior scattered eight hits in a complete-game performance to lead the Raiders to a 2-1 win over Athens in a nonconference baseball game last Tuesday. Anderson, a unanimous all-Marawood Conference selection, struck out six and went 2-for-3 as Marathon handed Athens its first loss.

Julianne Barkholz, Newman Catholic: The Cardinals senior will compete in four events in the WIAA state track meet for the second straight year. Barkholz won the 100, 200 and 400 meters during a Division 3 sectional last Thursday in Marathon. She also placed second in the long jump as Newman Catholic finished eighth overall in the team competition.

The two captured the Wisconsin Valley Conference championship and earned a spot in the state tournament as special qualifiers after losing their first match in a sectional meet in Eau Claire.
